Hooker Blackheart Transmission Crossmember Hoop The Hooker Blackheart transmission crossmember hoop is part of the most comprehensive line of Gen III Hemi swap components available for the Mopar A-Body. The Crossmember Hoop allows the installation of the popular, NAG1 5-speed automatic transmission when used with the corresponding adaptor plate (sold separately). The Transmission Crossmember Hoop replaces the very narrow factory Hoop on the original A-Body upper transmission crossmember allowing adequate clearance for drive shaft coupler and Speed sensor tone rings. The transmission Crossmember Hoop is specifically designed to replace the factory hoop and when used in combination with the BHS572 transmission crossmember will provide a bolt in clearance solution with OE (Original Equipment) strength and durability with no need for any fabrication or welding. Requires the use of BHS572 Transmission Crossmember (available separately) to maintain proper structural integrity of the vehicle. Use with Transmission Adapter BHS574 (available separately). INSTALL NOTES: Requires torsion bar crossmember center hoop be removed for drive shaft coupler clearance. Hooker Blackheart Bolt-in Torsion Bar Crossmember Hoop PN BHS578 is recommended to replace lost structural integrity. Some transmission tunnel massaging will be required for upper case clearance and around shift linkage. Trimming of the pinch weld at the transmission tunnel /firewall intersection will be required. Minor trimming of unused, nonstructural casting flash and tabs will be required to the transmission case. Output flange adapter (Sonnax PN T35-GMFD-01) and custom telescopic drive shaft are required. Floor shifter required B&M PN 81188 or 10-14 Charger /Challenger Shifter MOPAR PN 4578584AD (Shifter only). Use with Drivers Side Mounted Starter on NAG1 transmission - to Avoid Clearance Issues with the Factory Steering System.
